Anyone in the world
Spring is beginning to arrive here in the desert mesas of New Mexico. Little green sprouts popping up from the sandy soil. Diverse song birds perching in the juniper trees. Lizards venturing out from their hibernation. And just the other day, a Turkey Vulture circled over the house and above Jasmine, my canine friend, and me as we hiked out on the land. I love welcoming the Turkey Vultures as they return from their winter homes.

In an ancient Egyptian tradition, the Turkey Vulture is highly honored and revered. The Turkey Vulture is regarded as a sacred symbol and teacher of Unconditional Love. Whenever I see Turkey Vultures soaring in the winds, I imagine them showering the earth with unconditional love flowing out from their outstretched wings.

Manaole U Manaole,
from my heart to the heart of mother earth to your heart,
JoAnne Dodgson
